Furthermore, traveling to most Asian countries is so cheap, that allows you to spend unthinkably money when wandering around. Jakarta, Java in 1 night
This will be a great start point since it’s a pretty charming city. Tourists should use a day in this city to be familiar with different time table and recover from jet lagging. If tourists want to spend another day in Jarkata, it’s welcomed because one day cannot be enough to explore main attractions in this beautiful city. Discovering the Istiqlal Mosque, one of the most enormous mosques in entire Southeast Asia region and visiting Kota Tua open air market and Old Harbor in late night cannot be ignored.
The next destination will be Yogyakarta, and please remind that the sooner you take the train to Yogyakrata, the better it is.

Yogyakarta, Java in 2 nights
This city is well known for the culture and custom, to find out more about them, it’s recommended that you should stay in this city in 2 days. Upon attending Lempuyangan station, leave the heavy luggage at the hotel, grab every essential thing and head to Malioboro street. Within the city, tourists can grab a taxi or bus, for further exploration, hire a motorbike. The rental price of the motorbike should not exceed 50,000 IDR each day.
For the last day in Yogyakarta, get up as earlier as possible, start heading to Borobudur, which is an ancient temple complex. It’s the highlight in Yogyakarta so the place can be filled with people during the morning.

Other amazing places that you should explore are Chicken Church’s summit, Parangtritis coastal beach. After the long tiring day, head back to Malioboro to eat out dinner. Chicken Satay is one decent restaurant that I would recommend.
Surabaya, Java in 1 night
Catch a morning train from Yogyakarta to Surabaya, the ride will take about 5 hours. Since the trip is only 1 day, you should probably not go anywhere outside the city and prepare for transportation to Mount Bromo tomorrow. Visitors can hire a taxi driver to reach to the hotel or take a chance to explore the streets by the time you walk to the hotel.
To wander around in Surabaya, tourists should stop at Probolinggo, next, catch a bus to Cemoro Lawang. This peaceful town is just couple of minutes away from Probolinggo.

The view from the summit of mount Bromo is perhaps the best of best in Java, although it can be little crowded. There are plentiful decent places for you to choose on this mount so it is not a big deal. Tourists can call a shared jeep to pick you up at 3:30 AM, then it will drive you to the mountain and back to hotel.

On this journey in this wonderful mountain, visitors can see the azure flame of Kawa Ijen. The bus station will close at 7 PM, so you need to be wary of the time.

The sunrises trip in Banyuwangi is also amazing. The guest house or hotel can book a trip for you. The cost is much more than in mount Bromo which is about 400,000 to 600,000 IDR per trip. This includes hiking and trekking tools that allow you to climb up to highest part of the mountain to spot the flame of Ijen crafter lake. The flame will soon burn off after 5:00 AM. For going up on there, you need to start climbing at Pos Paltuding and the trip takes about 1.5 hours.
Ubud, Bali in 3 nights
If you are following a tour operator, they will drive you to Banyuwangi town, and from here, visitors can hire a ferry to reach Gilmanuk. Continue to catch a bus to Mengwi and finally to Ubud.

Bali is so congested that this should not be where you mainly spend time on in Indonesia. If you are in need for a cool and fresh atmosphere of the ocean, Lombok and Flores are better idea. However, the architecture and temple complex in Bali is just the best. To have the simplest experience in Bali, you must spend at least 2 or 3 days. Ubud is decent destination in Bali and it has amazing Balinese buildings and other scenery such as Water Palace, Tirta Empul temple complex, Goa Gajah – Elephant cave which are truly fascinating.

In Gili islands, tourists can choose between 3 spots for the next destination. For least expenditure, Gili Trawangan is the most suitable place. Visitors need to cross Padang Bai port first and ride on a boat or ferry to these point in Gili island. The hotel, guesthouse which you are staying in can schedule the boat trip for you in advance.

Check out some amazing beaches such as Setangi beach, Kerandangan beach and the most dazzling one: the Pandanan beach.
The tender atmosphere made me felt so refreshed that I just wanted to lazily lying on the beautiful golden sandy beach.

However, the remarkable thing in Ruteng is the hospitality of local people. To be frank, they are far better than those locals in busy city such as Bali and Lombok. It mainly because Flores is less crowded than other destinations. Furthermore, the time I spent in Flores was much more pleasant and enjoyable thought the place was not famous.

However, to reach to this location, travelers must hire a scooter or motorbike since to road to this village is narrow and it has no public transportation that can get access to. Upon attend at the guest house/ hotel, you can ask the owner to manage an o-jek to take you wander around this peaceful place.
If you are an adventurous passenger, take part in a trekking tour to Gunnung Inerie mount. When arrive on the top of the mountain, tourists can witness the breath-taking view of this 2,245m tall mountain.

The most intriguing feature of this place is that the volcano can change color during different times in a day. The colors are blue, green and black respectively. The scene is amazing when tourists come here after sunrises, the sunbeam can create a wonderful vibrant sight if it reaches the water surface.

First, visitors need to get up early and head to Kelimutu, catch a bus and drive to Moni after you have already organized a trip to see the sunrise by simply ask the guesthouse/ hotel which you are staying in. Another choice is hiring a motorbike or scooter and drive to the mount by your own, however, I would not recommend this way. By the way down, there will be an o-jek that drop you at the bottom of the mountain
Maumere, Flores in 2 nights
After Moni, catch a bus and go to Maumere. It’s a lovely coastal town, along with decent sandy beaches and water sports. If the trip in Moni is a cool breeze of mountainous area, Maumere is the warm hug from the ocean. There are always exciting water sports if you are already bored of relaxing. Moni has some of the most beautiful diving spot in the area. It’s truly a worth visiting destination after departing to Bali again.

It is advisable that depend on the time you land in Bali, you should take a rest for the tomorrow trip. For accommodation, the Manggar Indonesia Hotel was pretty good for my experience. The hotel is quite cheap, it lies near the airport and it has a private pool which is good for relaxation after a long tiring flight.
